Margery Bone

Managing Director

Margery Bone founded Bonafide Films as a film & TV production company in Newcastle, then in London. For Bonafide she has developed and produced TV drama singles and series including THE LAST POST for BBC/Amazon and MOOD for BBC/AMC. Previously Margery served as Head of Development and Producer for film and award-winning commercials companies Tomboy Films and Thomas Thomas Films in London respectively.

Tom Dunbar

Executive Producer

Tom joined Bonafide in Sept 2022. Previously he worked in production for over 20 years before producing the BAFTA nominated series A CONFESSION for ITV, written by Jeff Pope and starring Martin Freeman and Imelda Staunton. He then joined Jeff’s label at ITV studios as Head of Development before becoming an Executive Producer on projects including THE WALK-IN for ITV and THE RECKONING for BBC.

Zander Levy

Executive Producer

Having worked extensively in development and as an Executive Producer, Zander oversaw the development of MOOD as Story Producer, having previously developed Marlon James’ forthcoming GET MILLIE BLACK for Channel 4/HBO and INDUSTRY for HBO/BBC. Before then he worked as an Executive Producer at Clerkenwell Films, Head of Drama at Raw and Script Editor at Origin Pictures.

Denis Wray

Chief Operating Officer

Denis joined Bonafide Films in late 2023 after 7 years as CFO at Drama Republic, where he oversaw all elements of finance and production on titles including Mike Bartlett’s DOCTOR FOSTER for BBC, Hugo Blick’s THE ENGLISH for BBC/Amazon and Nicole Taylor’s adaptation of David Nicholls’ best-selling novel, ONE DAY for Netflix. In 2021 Denis managed the sale of the company to Mediawan-Leonine Studios. Prior to joining Drama Republic, Denis worked in production for 15 years as a Financial Controller on a wide range of UK and international projects for companies such as BBC Drama, Left Bank Pictures, Carnival Films and NBCUniversal, among others.

Joanne Crowther

Head of Production

Before joining Bonafide, Jo spent many years in production, as Co-Producer/Line Producer for major international drama series including BLACK MIRROR for Netflix, GOOD OMENS, for Amazon, 37 DAYS for BBC and iconic period drama DOWNTON ABBEY for ITV, as well features including Carol Morley’s THE FALLING for BBC Films.

Kate Adori

Development Executive

Kate started out at The TV Foundation before moving into commissioning at Channel 4 Drama. They script edited ANNIKA and produced FLOAT at Black Camel Pictures and worked in development at Various Artists Limited, before joining Bonafide as Development Executive in May 2022.

Sylvie Markes

Development Executive

Sylvie is a Development Executive and Script Editor having joined Bonafide in 2019 after editorial work in journalism and publishing. She worked with Philip Shelley across his 4Screenwriting Course as a shadow Script Editor in 2021 and has been a mentor and Script Editor for New Writing North since 2020. While at Bonafide, Sylvie is proud to have worked on MOOD from primary development to production.

Kelly Emelle

Development Co-ordinator

Kelly got her start as part of the Channel 4 Production Training Scheme in 2021, working on INDUSTRY S2 for Bad Wolf/BBC/HBO, first as an Executive Assistant and then moving on to be Assistant Script Editor. Kelly was then a freelance Script Assistant on ROMANTIC GETAWAY for RangaBee/Sky, before joining Bonafide Films in 2022.

Rachel Abbey

Development Assistant

Rachel, a recent graduate from Channel 4’s Production Training Scheme, has spent the past year as the Trainee Development Assistant at Dancing Ledge Productions. She provided research on various projects, worked with emerging talent and provided a fresh perspective on their development slate. Rachel is excited to join Bonafide Films and looks forward to supporting the team in making ground-breaking dramas.
