Mood is a six part music based drama for BBC written and starred in by Nicôle Lecky based on her hit Royal Court show, Superhoe. Featuring a killer soundtrack with songs written and performed by Lecky herself, Mood is the funny, dark and bold story of East End Londoner Sasha Clayton (Lecky), a wannabe singer and rapper who’s forced to fend for herself when she’s kicked out of her family home before she meets enigmatic party girl Carly, who introduces her to the exciting world of social media influencing. But as the gap between her new online presence and her dream of being a singer continues to grow, Sasha struggles to escape a world that is more complex and darker than she could have imagined.

Alongside Lecky the cast includes Lara Peake (Brave New World), Jessica Hynes (Years and Years), Paul Kaye (Game of Thrones), Mia Jenkins (Hanna), Jordan Duvigneau (My Mum Tracy Beaker), Flo Wilson (Death In Paradise), Jordan Myrie (Stephen), Jason York (Sliced), Chantelle Alle (Vera, We Are Lady Parts), Ebony Aboagye (The Lost Girls) and Mohammad Dalmar in his first TV role. Directed by Dawn Shadforth (Adult Material) and Stroma Cairns, and produced by Lisa Walters (On The Edge). The series is executive produced by Nicôle Lecky, Margery Bone for Bonafide, and Lucy Richer and Ayela Butt for the BBC.
