Bonafide will mentor a winner of the Channel 4 Writing for Television Award as part of the New Writers’ Awards

Channel 4 is on the look out for talented new TV writers from the North of England. As part of New Writers North annual awards, Channel 4/Northumbria University are selecting two winners to be offered a writers development opportunity with Bonafide and Lime Pictures. Each winner will also receive a bursary of £3000.

The judges of the Channel 4/Northumbria University Writing for Television Awards are looking for new writers from Northern England who would like to work in television. They are especially welcoming submissions from Black and Minority Ethnic, LGBT and disabled writers, who are particularly under-represented in this area of the TV industry.

The Northern Writers’ Awards have been running since 2000 and exist to recognise talent and support new work towards publication or broadcast. The awards are the largest of their kind in the UK and have a reputation for identifying some of the best unpublished writing in the country.

The deadline for submitting your work for the Norther Writers’ Awards 2018 is Thursday 1st February 2018
